Book More Clients on Turo With These Photos

Having great photos of your car for Turo can help make your listing standout amongst the crowd. In this article I’m going to share with you how to take the best car photos to share on Turo. These images were done for a client in Toronto named John, listing his beautiful Mercedes Benz C300. Whether you have a luxury car or not, use this guide to capture stunning photos of your car!

Exterior (Front)

Whenever your shooting, try to get the exterior photos done first. Interior photos can be done almost anywhere. If you’re shooting in a location with a risk of being kicked out, it’s best you get the “money shots” of the exterior first. These 3 photos were shot without having to re-park the car as well.

Exterior (Rear)

Exterior photos are best shot under cloudy weather, in an area with not many distractions. If shooting with a professional camera, use a circular polarizer filter (CPL) to eliminate reflections in windows and exterior panels.

Exterior Details

The exterior details are a good touch to show off some unique features/styling. Common details to include but often missed are shots of the mirror (to show off blind spot monitoring), front and rear cameras, and turn signal mirrors.

Turo’s website works best for horizontal photos. Horizontal photos will show off more of your vehicle than shooting vertically.

Interior

The interior shots of your Turo listing should aim to showcase the spacing and features. These will be two of the most important aspects viewers of your listing will be looking for. My favourite shot which shows off a lot of what the car has to offer is taken from the middle of the second row, with the middle entertainment unit being dead centre.

Interior Features

Depending on the trim level of your vehicle, you could actually have more features to offer than other listings available on Turo. Be sure to take photos of the features that will stand out to potential clients such as:

  • Navigation

  • Rearview camera

  • Bluetooth

  • Apple CarPlay / Android Auto

  • Heated front / rear seats

There are plenty of other shots you can take while doing your shoot, but these would be the main selling photos of your vehicle. If you’re paying for a shoot, you might as well get more angles of the exterior and closeups of other key interior features. In my shoot for John’s C300 which you have been seeing here, I had provided 40 more shots which he can use should he ever choose to sell the vehicle.
